Skiing since he was two and innovating new ways to look at the sport since he can remember Shane McConkey has an outlook like few others in the world of skiing today. A long-time ski racer he made the switch to freeskiing after seeing the 1988 Greg Stump classic "Blizzard of Aahhhs." Since then Shane has been finding ways to take his passions to new levels.

Shane's latest innovation is getting plenty of attention in the world of skiing. Pairing his long love of skiing with his thirst for adrenaline McConkey is mixing the two -- skiing and BASE-jumping combined to a form a new discipline appropriately named: ski-BASE-jumping.
